Art Appreciation - The Art of Monogram
When we said "Monogram", the most famous pattern, from Louis Vuitton, their original collection which is also the best I like from their all collections.
A monogram is actually a motif made by overlapping or combining two or more letters or other graphemes to form one symbol. Monograms are often made by combining the initials of an individual or a company, used as recognizable symbols or logos. Most of the designers are selling the overall pattern from Monogram but Julia B., she is selling the Monogram, which means, the product can be applied to so many different patterns from ONE monogram.
Let's appreciate her designs,
More of her Monogram designs, view HERE

Art Appreciation - Appreciate Michael Loh Photography, 3 of Unlimited
I like Michael Loh's Landscape Photos.
"Art is born of the Observation and Investigation of Nature" - Cicero (106BC to 43BC) and Michael plays the Art very well.
His quote, "Whenever I travel I make sure to pack my camera and lenses with me. These are a collection of pictures taken during holidays and business trips."
Let's see how he brings us to the tour ;-)
Beijing - Pictures taken around Beijing in April 2008. Also includes pictures of new Terminal 3 of Beijing International Airport as well as Sofitel Wanda Hotel which I stayed at.
Tokyo - Scenes around Tokyo taken during the Cherry Blossom festival in Apr 2008.
Bath, UK - Bath is a city in the ceremonial county of Somerset in the south west of England. It is situated 97 miles (156 km) west of London and 13 miles (21 km) south-east of Bristol. The city was first established as a spa resort with the Latin name, Aquae Sulis ("the waters of Sulis") by the Romans in AD 43 although verbal tradition suggests that Bath was known before then. As City of Bath, the city became a World Heritage Site in 1987.
For Photo Purchase, please contact Michael Loh

Art Appreciation - Appreciate Michael Loh Photography, 1 of Unlimited
Michael Loh, what a Real CameraBug!!
We met each other by joining the Hong Kong Photography Club Meet Up. He appeared to me that he is very Positive and Willing to help People, especially someone always Fresh in Photography, ME (Still don't know how long I am going to be good!!)..
Then, we became Facebook friends by next, talking IN THE AIR...
When I put time researching ALL his Photos, I can see he is stepping to his Personal Style in Photography..
Let's Appreciate together, Part of his Collection on His Flickr Gallery - Sighs of Hong Kong
A Short Story.... -- A set of shots taken for a slideshow as part of a photography workshop assignment.. Photos taken at Discovery Bay, Hong Kong..
Sunny Bay
Discovery Bay - Fire -- This set of photos shows the bushfire which raced through Discovery Bay in 2004. The fire came very close to our high-rise apartments and we had to evacuate the building at midnight as the fire came very close. This was also my first set of photos with my first DSLR camera, the Nikon D70. My photography interest blossomed from here onwards...

Art Appreciation - Fur and SwimWear
The Shoots are slightly Unrealistic but I love the Colours and Shapes of the Outerwear.
I love the way Fur is slowly changing its image from being Big Old Mink Coats to Younger, Fashion Forward, more Innovative pieces.
I have idea to have Model Shooting, Models wearing Lingerie with Fur posing at The Great Wall in Beijing, Winter Snowing.....what a good contrast, haha!
At the moment, let's appreciate Fur + SwimWear...

Art Appreciation - JR
I read the New York Times Article about this year’s TED Prize winner, JR, a Photographer and Street Artist who installs Large-Scale, Black and White Portraits in Slum Neighborhoods around the World. His Photographs have appeared Everywhere from the Paris Banlieues to Shanghai, capturing the People who live there, and thereby asking Inhabitants to directly Visualize their own Community. Here are some of his work in Shanghai....
For example, in Israel, JR Created an Installation called Face 2 Face, leading “a Grassroots Team of Community Members posted Huge Portraits of Israelis and Palestinians Face to Face in Eight Palestinian and Israeli cities, and on the both sides of the Security Fence/Separation barrier.”
For Women Are Heroes, he installed Series throughout Africa and South America “Underlining the Dignity of Women who are the Target of Conflict.”
In Kenya, the Photographs were printed on Waterproof Vinyl to double as “New Roofs for Ramsackle Houses.”
Working anonymously, JR “does not ask Permission from the Authorities, he does work directly with the Communities in which he is Exhibiting…..People in the Exhibit Communities, those who often live with the Bare Minimum…don’t just see it, they make it. Elderly women become Models for a day; Kids turn into Artists for a week. In this Art scene, there is no Stage to separate the Actors from the Spectators.
In this way, JR’s work is beyond Site-Specific—the Global Streets are both his Canvas and his Art Gallery. Watch the inspiring TED video HERE.
Then read the full New York Times Article and view a Beautiful slideshow of His Work, then visit JR’s website to view more Photographs, then read more on the TED Website.

Art Appreciation - Andy Gilmore
Designer and Draftsman Andy Gilmore produces Striking Color Studies. These pieces certainly reminded me of Josef Albers Foundations in the Interaction of Color on the Relativity of Color, especially when directly Juxtaposed or against a different background color. To see more of these studies, visit Gilmore’s website.
